July 2026
Our biggest month of the year. We opened up an entirely new way to sell — consignment and brokerage — rebuilt text messaging from the ground up, and gave service departments a real recall and bulletin tracker. We also refreshed the look of the app and made the busiest screens noticeably faster.
- Consignment & brokerage sales – Sell boats your store doesn’t own. Set the consignment type and your fee once on the unit and it carries through the quote and the deal, with store-level fee defaults so nobody re-keys them.
- Owner disbursement statement – A dedicated tab shows exactly what the owner gets paid: selling price less your fee, lienholder payoff, open work orders, and account balance. Drill into any line, then print a clean one-page statement for the seller.
- Consignment in your reporting – Consignment and brokerage are their own buckets in unit sales, revenue projection, and the inventory report, and a color-coded New / Used / Consign / Broker pill on the Units, Quotes, and Deals grids makes the sale type obvious at a glance.
- Text messaging, rebuilt – Subscribe employees or whole groups to a conversation so replies reach the right people, text photos back and forth, see delivery confirmations with plain-English explanations when a message fails, and handle texts from numbers you don’t recognize with a configurable auto-reply.
- Opt-out compliance & spam blocking – STOP and START are tracked automatically per store and per number, outbound texts to opted-out customers are blocked, and you can block spam numbers outright.
- “Text Us” widget for your website – Drop a snippet on your site and let customers start a text conversation from any page, routed to the right department. Their messages land in the Message Center like any other conversation.
- Message templates & ready-for-pickup texts – Save the messages you send over and over, and set up rules that automatically text a customer the moment their unit is ready for pickup.
- Recall & bulletin manager – Flag a canned job as bulletin-required, import the VIN list, and DealerRock matches those VINs against units in your system. Track what’s been completed, and get a notice on the work order when an open bulletin applies to that unit.
- OEM lead API – Manufacturers can push leads directly into DealerRock, secured with per-OEM API keys you control.
- Move jobs to another work order – Move jobs off one open work order and onto another instead of rebuilding them by hand, and swap the unit on an open work order with a preview of what the change affects before you confirm.
- Export warranty claims – One button produces an Excel workbook with a tab per claim status, job counts, and every column from the grid.
- Export outstanding unit deposits – Pull the full outstanding deposit report straight to Excel.
- Smarter canned job pricing – Changing a labor hourly rate or your default labor rate now updates the related canned jobs automatically, variable-priced items hold their set price through item updates, and spark plugs are available as a maintenance item.
- New UI framework kicks off the starts of a refreshed interface – Units, Deals, Quotes, Web Leads, Warranty Claims, Canned Jobs, Pickups, Message Center, and the reporting screens all moved to a cleaner, more consistent layout.
- Faster grids – Units, Customers, Leads, and Work Orders load noticeably quicker, especially at high inventory and record counts.
- New state forms – Kentucky trailer title and registration, and the Utah tax exemption form.
- More lead tools – Native Rank lead emails are now parsed automatically into leads, follow-up notifications clear themselves when you log contact with a customer, and a Clear All link empties your notification list in one click.
- Web feed & API additions – Unit weight and capacity are now included in web feeds, and hours/mileage is exposed on both the unit and its individual engines in the Units API.
- QuickBooks improvements – Card transaction identifiers now flow onto the QuickBooks invoices we create so payments are easier to reconcile, and sync processing was reworked to prevent duplicated entries.
