September 2026
PermalinkStorage grew up this month: customers now sign, choose how to pay and send proof of insurance from a single link, and seasonal dealers can rebook a whole marina into next year in one pass. E-signatures expanded from quotes to purchase agreements, service picked up per-foot billing, reworked e-approvals and a new cycle-time report, and the refreshed interface reached quotes, settings and the Add Unit flow.
- One-link storage activation – Click Send for Activation and your customer gets one secure link by email or text. Behind it they e-sign the storage agreement, choose how they’ll pay, and photograph their insurance card; you approve the insurance and the agreement is active — no printing, faxing or phone tag. Agreement terms come from your own editable template, and every send keeps the exact version the customer signed.
- Flexible ways to pay for storage – Customers can pay the whole term up front, with an optional pay-in-full discount, keep a card on file billed each period, or skip the card and get monthly invoices by email. Rates can be set per month, quarter, year, season or foot of the unit being stored, and security deposits and prepaid amounts are tracked separately.
- Seasonal storage, simplified – Define your seasons once (Winter = Oct 1 → Mar 1, for example) and a seasonal agreement fills in the upcoming season’s dates on its own. When the season turns over, Rebook Season moves your seasonal customers into next year in bulk and holds their spot.
- End-of-term & walk-in tools – Release Unit records the release date, can charge an overstay fee, and hands off the deposit refund. Walk-in customers can settle up at the counter on one Register ticket covering the first period, deposit and prepaid amount, and spot history, past agreements and a customer’s past storage are all a click away.
- Redesigned storage screens – The Spots and Agreements grids sort whatever needs action to the top. The agreement form is organized around four questions — the stay, the price, how they pay, and what’s collected first — with a live preview of how the customer will be billed, and Send for Signature lists anything blocking the send with a button that takes you straight to the fix.
- E-sign purchase agreements – Purchase agreements can now go out for electronic signature on standard, consignment and brokerage deals. Buyers and co-buyers sign together and initial the terms page; on a brokerage deal the sellers are invited automatically once the purchasers finish. Each party gets their link by email, text or both, a new E-Signature card on Step 3 tracks progress, and you choose whether the dealership signs first or last and which employees can sign on its behalf.
- Work order e-approvals, reworked – Customers approve or decline each estimate from a phone-friendly page, with totals recalculated as they decide and an optional e-signature. On your side, every estimate shows its approval state right on the card — including a flag when a job’s price changed after approval — and one details modal shows where the request went, when it was viewed and answered, and the running authorized total, with resend, copy link and cancel.
- Bill by the foot – Items like shrink wrap and bottom paint, and labor codes too, can now be billed by the length of the unit being serviced. Labor billed per foot still credits the technician in hours through a minutes-per-foot conversion, so scheduling and tech reporting stay accurate. Units now carry a real length, entered in feet and inches.
- New RECT report – A Repair Event Cycle Time report shows how long customer-facing repairs take and where the time goes: average and median cycle time compared with the prior period, a 12-month trend, time by lane and by hold reason, customer pay vs. warranty, and open work orders aging past 15, 30, 60 and 90 days. It’s built from the workflow board history you’re already recording.
- Assign technicians across stores – Technicians who can switch stores can now be assigned to jobs at any store in your company without switching their session, and technician pickers group local techs separately from those based at another store.
- Automatic repricing from vendor catalogs – Part catalog imports now update the cost on every linked inventory item, reprice items from their default supplier using your store margins or the vendor’s suggested retail, record price history, and reprice the canned jobs that use them. Re-importing the same file no longer overwrites prices you set by hand.
- Item usage report filters – Filter the item usage report by item type and quantity tracking, so service items like storage fees can finally be reported on alongside parts.
- A redesigned Settings area – System Settings moved to the new interface across Accounting, Users, Inventory, Quoting, Deals, Point of Sale, Service, Text Messaging and Feeds, with breadcrumbs, a sticky save bar, and cleaner modals throughout.
- Refreshed quotes – Building a quote is now a guided, step-by-step flow with a live summary rail on desktop and phone. The finalized quote and PDF were redesigned, identical engines collapse into a single line (“6 × 2026 Mercury 300 Verado”), and each quote can override whether MSRP or option prices show on the customer copy.
- A new Add Unit experience – One modal for adding units: pick the type, then build a boat package with up to six engines and a trailer in a single pass. Year, make and model templates and engine configurations are searchable, and the button tells you exactly how many units you’re about to create.
- Interface refresh continues – The unit page, customer page, inventory pages, and the unit picker used on quotes and leads all moved to the new interface.
- Smaller improvements – Phone numbers show their label everywhere you pick one, like “(555) 555-0123 (Wife)”; updating a customer’s primary address or phone now carries through to their open work orders and quotes; the Register cart shows each part’s bin location; receiving vouchers tell you when serials are missing; consignment and brokerage units can carry a stock number; an Open purchase order can be saved before any items are added; and unit year dropdowns now run through 2028.
