Dealership e-signature software: Send it for signature without leaving DealerRock.

Quotes, storage agreements and deal paperwork go out from the record you're already in. The customer signs on their phone, and the finished document comes back attached to their file.

DealerRock purchase agreement open for electronic signature, sent from the deal in the DMS

What it simplifies

Nobody wants to drive back to the dealership to sign a piece of paper.

Right now, a signature usually means printing the document, catching the customer, scanning it back in and hoping somebody files it where the next person will find it. The customer is often two hours away, and the paperwork waits.

Send it from the record you're already in and let them sign from wherever they are.

The customer's side

Open the link. Read it. Sign it.

The signing page is built for a phone first. The customer is walked to each place they need to sign instead of pinching and zooming around a legal document hunting for a small box.

  1. 01

    Opens the link

Sent by email or text, good only for them, and it expires.

  2. 02

    Confirms who they are

Including a code to their phone where the document calls for it.

  3. 03

    Reviews and signs

Typed or handwritten, guided to every field that still needs a signature.

  4. 04

    Gets a finished copy

The completed document, with the record of how it was signed.

One or hundreds

Send this year's storage agreements in one afternoon.

Renewal season should not mean printing three hundred agreements. Select the ones you want, send them together, and watch the list come back signed.

Everyone gets their own

Each customer receives their own agreement with their own space, term and rate. Nobody sees anybody else’s document.

One bad phone number doesn’t stop the rest

A customer missing a mobile number is reported on its own instead of failing the whole send.

You can see who is left

Sent, signed, still pending or declined, with the ability to nudge the ones who have not gotten to it.

Storage renewals are the obvious case, but the same batch works for anything you send to a group of customers at once. See Storage & Slip Management.

Standing behind the signature

A signature is only worth what you can prove about it.

If a customer ever says they never agreed to something, you need more than a name typed into a box. Every document carries the record of how it was signed.

  • The link belongs to only one personIt expires, it can be revoked, and it does not open anything else.
  • Identity gets checked firstA code sent to the phone number on file can be required before the document will open.
  • Consent is recorded, not assumedThe customer agrees to sign electronically before signing, and the exact wording they agreed to is kept.
  • Each step is timestampedSent, opened, verified, consented, signed and completed, with the date and time of each.

The finished document

What they signed is what you keep.

When the last signer finishes, DealerRock builds the final document on its own servers from the exact document that was sent, and stores it where it cannot be edited afterward.

Built from the sent document

Not from whatever was open in somebody’s browser, and not from live data that may have changed since.

Certificate attached

This is a final page recording the signers, the times, how each was verified and that consent was given.

Locked once complete

The finished file is fingerprinted when it is stored, so a copy can be checked against the original later.

Where it shows up

The same signing for everything you send out.

Signing is part of DealerRock rather than a separate service your team logs into and pays for on the side. The signature status sits on the record itself, so anyone looking at the quote or the agreement can see where it stands.

Sales quotes

Send the quote for signature from the quote itself, then open the signed copy from the same place.

Frequently asked questions

Not seeing your question? Ask us directly.

Does the customer need an account or an app?

No. They open the link you send, confirm who they are, review the document and sign in their browser. It is built for a phone, because that is where most customers will open it.

How do you know the person signing is really the customer?

The signing link is unique to one signer, expires and can be revoked. Signing can also require a code sent to the phone number on file before the document will open, and what was used to verify them is recorded with the signature.

Can we send the same agreement to a lot of customers at once?

Yes. You can select a group of agreements, such as every winter storage renewal, and send them at once. Each customer still gets their own document, and you get one status screen showing who has signed and who has not.

Can more than one person sign?

Yes. A buyer, a co-buyer and someone from the dealership can all sign the same paperwork, either in a set order or at the same time. A deal can also carry several documents that get signed together in one sitting.

What's delivered after the signature(s)?

A finished PDF with the signatures, initials and dates in place, plus a certificate page recording who signed, when, how they were verified and that they consented to sign electronically. It is stored with the customer and the record it came from.

What happens if something on the document is wrong after we send it?

You void it, with a reason, and send a corrected one. Nothing is deleted, so the history of what happened stays intact.
